Aligners must be worn at least 22 hours per day; you must only take them out when eating.
Under no circumstance should you take them out for over 90 minutes at any one time.
Do not eat or drink (apart from water) with your aligners.
Avoid high surgery foods and drinks as having the aligners in make you at a higher risk of dental decay and gum disease.
Make sure teeth are clean before putting your aligners back in.
Make sure you are brushing at least twice per day and flossing at least once per day. It is important that you maintain a high level of oral hygiene whilst having invisalign treatment.
Do not drink extremely hot drinks or wash them in hot water as it may warp the aligners.
Should you lose your aligner i.e. No.10 then wear your previous aligner, No 9 until the new aligner is ordered for you. Replacement aligners will be an additional charge.
If you take it upon yourself to stop treatment for a period that is longer than recommended by your dentist a charge may occur as new dental impressions may need to be taken and will incur an additional charge.
Should you decide to not attend the clinic every two weeks and insert the new aligners yourself you MUST inform us if they do not fit properly.
You have 180 days from the end of the treatment to inform us if there is any issue with movement otherwise a fee will incur as this is invisalign’s cut off point.
You are aware that you could use fixed braces (sometimes called “traintracks”) to straighten your teeth and have been given the opportunity of being referred to an orthodontist.
